ABSTRACT

For North America, historical analyses are presented for the Tennessee Valley Authority, and for rivers in the Rocky Mountain state of Colorado (Figure 6.1). Two waterassociated diseases were involved: malaria, which was transmitted around the reservoirs in the Tennessee River Valley, and western equine encephalitis, which was transmitted in irrigated areas along rivers of Colorado.
