ABSTRACT
This chapter contains a case study of a proposed irrigation and hydropower project in northern Eritrea, and illustrates the methodology to be employed in such studies when a health impact assessment or health opportunity assessment can be conducted early in the planning stages. This case study also demonstrates the use of available epidemiological data in health assessments.
