ABSTRACT

This apparently simple task is really quite complex and incurs significant risk and cost. First, the company must have access to sources that are adequate to meet demand in all circumstances. Secondly, the distribution system must have sufficient capacity to supply the system in normal and abnormal conditions. Thirdly, the staff must be competent, well trained and adequately equipped. Last, the management should be providing support through planning, design and all the other activities necessary to maintain the service.
