ABSTRACT
In this chapter we intend to deal with three topics. First, we treat some problems of the lateral stability of bent beams. Second, we investigate in which cases the nodes of a truss may become laterally unstable. Third, we show that a certain kind of beams may lose their stability in the plane of bending by snapping through.
