Evaluation and comparison of sealed and non-sealed shrinkage deformation measurements of concrete

Abstract In this study measurements have been performed on cylindrical and prismatic specimens surrounded by water or air. The specimens have been either sealed or non-sealed. It is shown that it is of great importance to perform shrinkage measurements on sealed specimens in order to obtain material related information about the moisture movements.
