ABSTRACT
Criminals are said always to return to the site of their crime, and thus we now return to one of the original motivations for percolation research, the droplet description for thermal critical phenomena. We summarize what percolation theory for cluster numbers tells us about its ‘ancestor’. Dilute Ising models combine the thermal with the geometrical approach, and thus both start and finish this chapter.
