ABSTRACT

New systems are being developed which will address the social objectives of increased safety and efficiency, better economy, more comfort or convenience and environmentally acceptable solutions for future road traffic. To accomplish this the solutions have to comply with the needs and objectives of individual users of the systems. These users can be seen as the potential customers whom the automotive industry and their allies, the electronic and supplier industries, have to meet in the market place. The real human needs and problems have to be in focus of the design work. If they are not actively taken into account in the design process, the new advanced systems designed might have a potential for danger, accidents and even market resistance.
