ABSTRACT
Exchange of information between air traffic controllers (e.g. for the hand over of aircraft from one sector to another) and between air traffic control and aircraft is one of the most fundamental requirements for safe, expeditious and efficient air traffic. Today these tasks are carried out almost entirely by means of radio telephony. Voice messages carry all clearance, advisory and warning information.
