ABSTRACT
The Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 places a requirement on employers to assess any necessary manual handling activities. Royal Mail delivers 64 million letters every working day, requiring a complex series of manual handling activities to process, distribute and then deliver the items. It also requires considerable support from catering, maintenance, clerical and banking, all with their own manual handling activities.
