ABSTRACT

Accident analysis depends upon the models of an accident. Up to now, some models have been developed, for example, the energy models for evaluation of general work accidents. This energy model is useful to describe the causes of an accident and the anatomy of a typical industuial accident. However, it does not reveal the nature of an accident and the inner mechanism. Is the accident of a system inevitable trend? How could we assess the potential and severity of an accident before the accident happens? What about the speed of an accident process? The current theory can not answer these problems and it only shows the causal chain of an accident. It is not the system model.
