ABSTRACT
The International Standards Organisation (ISO) define usability as being “…the effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction with which specified users achieve specified goals in particular environments” (ISO DIS 9241-11). This definition acknowledges that the usability of a interface is likely to be different between different tasks and different users. The specification of users includes their knowledge and experience. Usability can therefore also vary within users as their level of experience with a interface changes.
