ABSTRACT
Some companies and universities have produced individual computer software packages for selection of speeds and feed for use with various materials and cutting tools by using databases. Some cutting tool manufacturers also offer tool cutting parameterised computer software that also includes economics of tool life. Most of this data can be linked by data exchange to Computer Aided Manufacture (CAM) packages for use of preparing Production Planning, Costing and NC Tape files.
