ABSTRACT
In recent years, geography as a discipline in secondary schools has seemingly been classified as one that is not as important as the others. In the era of mathematics, science and technology, geography has fallen on hard times. In fact, the latest Royal Commission on Learning in the province of Ontario omitted geography as a requisite component of a person’s education, substituting instead the generic term ‘social studies’.
