Once drawn, then you can connect lines drawn between the X’s and erase all of the lines drawn from the mapping blocks at the end of your 50-foot or -metre line (see figure 7.9).
This scale line then represents actual real-world distance and the contour of what you are drawing is to scale (see figure 7.10).
