ABSTRACT
In Newton's second law, often considered symbolically as: F = ma, we may regard the force (F), mass (m), and acceleration (a) as representing branches of dynamics: kinetics, inertia, and kinematics respectively. In this chapter we review and summarize formulas and procedures related to mass distribution and inertia. Our sources for the majority of these formulas are References 8.1 to 8.11.
