ABSTRACT
Soon thereafter many industry people started discussing the need for a "paperless" office. The idea was to have information flow electronically from computer to computer and from person to person. The feeling was that information would be more accessible in that printing and paper handling costs would be reduced or even possibly eliminated, and file cabinets would be a thing of the past.
