ABSTRACT

In this chapter will be considered miscellaneous topics such as multi-phase sampling; sampling on successive occasions and panel sampling; estimation of mobile populations; inverse sampling; interpenetrating networks of sub-samples; simplified methods of variance computations; bootstrap and jackknife methods of variance estimation; method of collapsed strata; controlled selection; the use of Bayes's theorem in sampling; the use of focus groups to collect data; the use of randomized response technique of estimation; and surveys on disability, nutritional status of children, women's status, and HIV /AIDS infection .
