ABSTRACT

The investigation of different polycarbonate structures has focused on specific properties, e.g., high heat distortion temperature (HDT), hydrolytic and ultraviolet (UV) stability, permeability, and flammability. However, most work has been performed on the polycarbonate of diphenylol-2,2'-propane, better known as hisphenol A polycarbonate or, more briefly, as BPA-PC because of its unusual ductility [1-18].
