ABSTRACT

Thermoplastic strength and dimensional stability, and in many cases other proper ties, are significantly improved by adding any of a variety of fibers and specialty fillers. Glass fiber-reinforced thermoplastics, for example, have found application in nearly every area of industry because of their unique combination of properties. The composites offer not only high strength and dimensional stability but also light weight, corrosion resistance, excellent dialectric properties, and design flexi bility.
