Investmentindesignandqualityassuranceinrecentyearshasbeensubstantial,asborneout bythedevelopmentofISO9001/9002.Inaboltedjointthiseffortandinvestmenthasone objective:toensureinstalledbolttensionwillequalthatintendedbythedesigner,thatthe clampingforcecreatedwithstandstheworkingloads,therebyprovidingreliabilityandsafety. Despitethisfact,theeffortandinvestmentindustryspendsonensuringthatthisfundamental designobjectiveismetoninstallationisnegligible.
