ABSTRACT
The use of enzymes in detergents has been widely accepted by both detergent manufacturers and consumers. Although much of the effort of enzyme development for detergents has focused on finding new enzyme molecules, one should not overlook the significant enhancements provided by the enzyme formulation itself. Increased stability, increased efficacy by timed release, and improved worker safety are examples of benefits achieved by means of formulation technology.
