ABSTRACT

The Procter & Gamble Company, and the detergent industry in general, have over 20 years of successful experience in controlling enzyme exposure and protecting workers' health.

This chapter describes medical and industrial hygiene (IH) systems to control enzyme exposure. It draws on Procter & Gamble's experience and also on detergent industry consensus practices in the United Kingdom and United States [2,3]. These consensus practices were agreed on by enzyme and detergent manufacturers within national detergent industry trade associations.
