ABSTRACT
In order to discuss the outlook and expectations in the field of enzymes in detergency, we have identified several trends that, individually or in combination, may influence the use of enzymes and their developments quite substantially. These trends comprise growing environmental awareness, increased safety and hygiene demands, growing attention to textile care, new enzyme activities and increased dosages, increased detergent diversity, and changes in the market structure.
