ABSTRACT

The process of fuzzy system verification involves different techniques for analyzing the behavior of the system under development and for tailoring this behavior to its appropriate targets. These techniques (and the design tools that employ them) can be roughly classified into two groups: (1) Learning tech niques, which facilitate the definition of the inference system and provide mechanisms for automatically tuning its parameters; and (2) Simulation tech niques, to analyze the system responses under different operational conditions.
