meningioma, and lactate is increased in malignant tumors such as glioblastoma and metastatic tumor.15J6 Table 1-4 shows our results. NAA/ Cho was reduced in all tumors, and the decrease was significant in meningioma, astrocytoma, and glioblastoma. Among tumors, a significant difference was observed between meningioma and metastatic tumors. NAA/Cr was reduced in all tumors except ependymoma, metastatic tumors, and malignant lymphoma. Cho/Cr was elevated except in epidermoid, and was significantly higher in meningioma and astrocytoma than in normal brain tissue. Among tumors, a significant difference was noted between meningioma and glioblastoma. Cr/Cho was reduced in all tumors, being significantly reduced in meningioma, astrocytoma, and glioblastoma compared with normal brain tissue. Among tumors, significant difference was observed in meningioma compared with glioblastoma, metastatic tumors, and epidermoid. In epidermoid, in particular, the peaks of NAA, Cr/ PCr, and choline were very low, and only the peak of lactate was notable, showing a totally different pattern from other tumors.
