ABSTRACT
In this chapter, some metric concepts for fuzzy sets will be investigated. The notion of distance between two fuzzy sets is defined by using the distance between the corresponding t-levels, for t E [0,1]. This definition appropriately generalizes the classical definition of distance between subsets of a metric space.
