ABSTRACT

In this section you will expand your knowledge of photography. Photography is another example of a nondestructive, minimally invasive processing technique at a crime scene. The importance of photographic documentation cannot be overstated. The old cliché is that a picture is worth a thousand words. This adage is particularly true in crime scene investigation. Whether the photographs are used for documentation of evidence, to verify alibis, to portray the crime scene in court, or for comparison in laboratory examinations, photographs are crucial to the successful resolution of a crime scene.
