Collaboration, Multimedia and Other Technologies for the Web

Many of the previous technologies deal mainly with data manage­ ment and data mining for the web. That is, these are the data manage­ ment technologies. Although this book is about web data management, we cannot separate data with information and knowledge management. Therefore, in this chapter and in the next two we discuss information and knowledge management technologies.
