ABSTRACT
This chapter introduces one of the most important aspects of ecommerce and that is security. Since a major part or almost all of ecommerce security has to deal with web security, in this chapter we use the term e-commerce security and web security interchangeably. Some argue that web security encompasses e-commerce security as the web has to be secure to carry out secure e-commerce transactions.
