ABSTRACT

The Agricultural Non-Point Source Pollution Model (AgNPS) and the Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation (RUSLE) were used for a regional evaluation of the soil erosion risk of a Mediterranean watershed. The spatially distributed model AgNPS allows the prediction of regional runoff and soil loss for single storm events. The Integrated Land and Water Information System (ELWIS) was used in a specially designed link between the model and a Geographical Information System (GIS) to determine and handle the model input and output.
