ABSTRACT
This chapter intends to develop a unified framework of the software engineering process. The domain of software engineering processes is explored in order to gain a general view and a whole picture of the discipline. Fundamental methodologies and techniques in process system modeling and analysis are described, and an integrated theoretical and empirical foundation of process system paradigms is developed.
