ABSTRACT
An intervening liquid film is formed between a particle and an air bubble when the particle and the bubble are at close proximity. The liquid film is also formed between particles or between bubbles. In flotation, the liquid film can be best observed between bubbles in the flotation froth contained in a flotation cell made from Plexiglas or another transparent material.
