ABSTRACT

Industrial commerce can be likened to a competitive professional sporting event. Like the competing teams, the industrial “players” are selected to be part of the “team.” The team practices to strengthen its proficiency in the fundamentals of the sport. During the competition, the teams compete against each other for the goal. Only one usually wins the ultimate goal. After the contest, and a short time of celebration for the winner, the cycle repeats with team selection and practice for the next commencing season. During each new season, the competitive process usually results in new and improved skills and equipment. In fact, continuously improving skills and equipment are necessary just to stay at parity, let alone prevail.
