ABSTRACT

The past decade has seen steady penetration of ultraviolet (UV) light curing in applications where it has long been established, such as graphic arts, industrial coatings, and electronics [1,2]. Other applications, which were just starting to utilize UV curing a decade ago, such as optical fiber coatings, adhesives, and stereolithography, have seen very strong growth in their use of this technology. Still other applications, notably composites, coatings on plastics for automotive applications, and UV powder coatings, are just beginning to realize the benefits of this technology.
