11.2.1 Physical Models Physical models are three-dimensional representations constructed from materials that may or may not be the same or have the same properties or exact form and structure as the final product or component. In general, there are four basic types of physical models: (1) appearance, (2) behavioral, (3) functional, and (4) design verification units.
