ABSTRACT
Modern fluidics dates from 1957 when physicist Billy M. Horton ofthe Harry Diamond Laboratories in Washington had difficulties with his home fireplace. Smoke flowed into his living room rather than up the flue. Horton found that with a small bellow he could deflect, or switch, the flue gases up the chimney.
