3.4.3 Intervals on Other Ratios
The coefficients for the general ratio considered in Section 3.4.2 were all nonnegative. However, negative coefficients are sometimes required to define a ratio of interest. Although no single method has been proposed for constructing intervals on all ratios of this form, results for one special case have been obtained.
