ABSTRACT
This chapter is contributed by the Honorable Nancy Harvey Steorts, former Chairman, United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and former President, Dallas Citizens Council. She is President, Nancy Harvey Steorts International, Chevy Chase, MD and served as a Director of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and as Chairman of ANSI's Consumer Interest Council (CIC). She has also served as head of the ANSI/USA delegation to the International Organization for Standardization's (ISO) Consumer Policy Committee (COPOLCO).
