ABSTRACT

Di Marco et al. (1986) investigated photogeneration in the 1:1 charge-transfer complex formed between poly[bis-2-naphthoxy)phosphazene] and 2,4,7-trinitro-9-fluorenone (TNF). In the absence of TNF, the polymer shows little photoconductivity. The polymer doped in a 1:1 molar ratio with TNF, however, shows a level of photoconductivity comparable to charge-transfer complexes formed between poly(Af-vinylcarbazole) (PVK) and TNF The results were ex plained by a model involving the field-enhanced dissociation of an excited CT complex, similar to that proposed by Melz (1972) and Yokoyama et al. (1982).
