ABSTRACT

Fluidized bed combustion (FBC) is a versatile technology that can be used in burning a wide variety of fuels. Fuels may range from conventional premium fuels (coal, oil, and natural gas) to municipal solid wastes (MSW), refuse-derived fuels (RDF), coal rejects (up to 70% ash or more than 50% moisture), biomass and biomass wastes, sludges, pitches, and tars [1-5].
