ABSTRACT
I. INTRODUCTION Industrial activities in the United States and other developed countries generate large volumes of by-product waste. These by-products must be disposed of in a safe manner in order to avoid adverse impacts on the environment and public health. In recent years, solidification and sta bilization techniques have emerged as viable alternatives for safe waste disposal. Currently a large number of research organizations and professional companies are engaged in waste sta bilization and solidification processes.
