ABSTRACT
I. INTRODUCTION As a part of the material cycle, ores and fossil fuels are extracted from the earth, processed, and converted into metals, chemicals, and other processed (high value added) materials. Hence, any expansion in the world economy increases the demand for minerals and metals with subsequent increases in the amount of waste generated.
