ABSTRACT

American powdery mildew, white pine blister rust, leaf spot diseases, imported currant worm, and gooseberry maggot are common problems faced by Ribes growers in North America. Other pests and diseases can become serious in some regions. When native or cultivated Ribes are located nearby and as planting sizes increase, pest and disease pressures often increase as well. Successful currant, gooseberry, and jostaberry operations require aggressive pest- and disease-control programs.
