ABSTRACT

The last chapter of the Training Within Industry Report is titled “Development Work Ahead.” It was included because the developers believed that any training program must continually evolve to meet new challenges. Some of the ideas for development might be considered minor, such as creating better problems for the Union Job Relations Manual, or putting the development of the JM method in between the present method and the proposed method.1 One of the most substantive suggestions was the creation of a manual that would blend the Job Relations and the Union Job Relations manuals. The former does not include any mention of shop stewards while the latter does not mention supervisors in any way.
