ABSTRACT
CHAPTER 7 Exergy has been used since the mid-1950s,. introduced by Szargut, as the best concept to express the efficiency of any industrial process. The energy efficiency is always 100%, because energy is conserved, but our interest in engineering is on how much work do we utilise of the available amount of work? The answer to this question has required the introduction of exergy.
