ABSTRACT
Why is it important to achieve environmental compliance? The answer is simple. Organizations that consistently comply with environmental laws maintain control over their operations and finances. In addition, their employees will have more time to focus on activities other than environmental matters and need not fear the prospect of criminal liability. Achieving total environmental compliance will allow organiza tions and their employees to function more elfectively and efficiently even though their activities are highly regulated.
