ABSTRACT
The rice is spread on the belt in a thin layer and, as it moves along, is in spected by sorters who pick out the discolored ones by suction, using a plastic or rubber tube connected to a centrifugal air pump. The grains thus sucked up are deposited inside a cyclone separator through which the flow of air passes before reaching the pump.
