ABSTRACT
Because of the nature of groundwater contamination from injection wells [URL Ref. No. 123, 133, 144, 242, 243, 245, 248, 263, 338 {17, 39}] a thorough and comprehensive dis cussion of this topic and disposal and injection wells are in dicated and referred to when appropriate. Also, groundwater contamination problems related to subsurface disposal of liquid wastes by deep-well injection have been reviewed in the literature since 1950 (U.S. EPA, 1974; Morganwalp, 1993) and groundwater contamination accordingly is a seri ous problem.
