ABSTRACT

Using temperature (60-95°C) as the independent variable and shift factors based on a reference frequency, a master curve was developed for reduced r\* during the gelatinization of an 8% com STD. Similar reduced rj* versus temperature master curves were also developed for 6% and 3.5% com STD by Yang (1997). The master curves suggest that the studied com STD exhibited thermorheologically simple behavior (Plazek, 1996). A modified Cox-Merz mle related the complex and apparent viscosity data on the gelatinized 8% com STD obtained at 25°C.
