ABSTRACT

Physical and Chemical Techniques for Crop Disease Management Several crop diseases can be contained by adopting various conventional cultural practices as such or with necessary modifications (Chapter 9). Some diseases can be effectively managed by dovetailing physical and chemical techniques with regular cultural practices in order to reduce the size of the initial pathogen population and to reduce pathogenic potential of the pathogen. Physical and chemical techniques may be applied to plant propagative materials, whole plants, and field soils.
